THE GREAT ‘I AM’
God of the beginning, and the end:
You introduced Yourself to Moses, saying;
"I Am who I Am."
Fulfilling Your call,
Moses faced down the powers of his day
and freed Your people.
Filled with "I Am" power, Elijah
exposed the lies of the baals,
and survived Jezebel’s wrath.
The "I Am" reality drew Abram and Sarai
away from the familiar,
to follow the hope of an unfulfilled promise
and laugh when it came true!
"I Am!" More than a name,
but who are You?
"The Great I Am!"
More than a description,
but why are You?
"I Am who I Am!"
More than a random point in time,
where are You?
In all times and places?
Even in me?
