The River of Life
filled with the waters of Truth,
is swelled and strengthened
by every source it gathers:
- the lakes of Confucian wisdom
- the brooks of Buddhist enlightenment
- the streams from Abraham’s God
- the springs from The Great Spirit
- the Jesus pools from which I drink
- the rivers that rush from the Prophet Mohammed
- and countless oases I do not know.
And, on every waterway
live those who mistake their own creek
for the Great River itself!
